Launch ThinkAI Kids. Your child's ID (10 digits) and credit balance appear right in the top bar.
The orange Top Up button in the header opens checkout with the ID already filled in — your kid doesn't have to remember an account.
Credit card only for now. Once your credits land, head back to the app and tap "Subscribe" up top to choose how long to renew.
1 / 3 / 6 / 12 months. The longer you go, the more you save — 12 months saves up to 10%. It's all paid in one go from your credit balance.
Your allowance has three usage windows, all guardrails against bursts and overuse: this session (5 hours) for short bursts, this week (7 days) for weekly pacing, and this month as your monthly total. Normal use rarely hits the first two — and if it does, it recovers on its own, no top-up needed. It works the same way most popular AI tools handle usage limits.
| Plan | This month (total) | This session (5 hours) | This week (7 days) | Window start |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🎁 24h trial | ≈ 4,000 creations | ≈ 670 | ≈ 1,070 | Install time + 24h |
| $30/month plan ($50 list) | ≈ 4,000 creations | ≈ 670 | ≈ 1,070 | Subscription date + 30-day rolling |
| $100/month plan ($180 list) | ≈ 13,000 creations | ≈ 2,200 | ≈ 3,500 | Subscription date + 30-day rolling |
Not for making new things — once the trial ends with no subscription, Mochi stops at out-of-quota, and there's no surprise charge. To keep going, two steps: ① top up credits first (1,000 credits = $1), then ② tap "Subscribe" at the top of the app and pick 1/3/6/12 months. Topping up alone won't do it — credits are what you use to pay for a subscription. Even without one, the app still opens and you can browse past works; nothing your kid made is ever lost.
They're based on our compute cost plus what comparable AI creation tools charge. The 40% / 44% off is a launch promo — our goal is to make a real creation tool affordable for families, not to chase the highest price tag. The discount you see is the price you pay today, and we'll give you plenty of notice before anything changes.
Locking in 12 months at once is the biggest savings tier. The $30/month plan for 12 months comes to $324 — that's $30 × 12 with 10% off, saving $36 on top of the launch discount. The $100/month plan for 12 months comes to $1080, saving $120. The middle tiers scale evenly: 3% for 3 months, 6% for 6 months.
No. Topping up = trading dollars for credits (1,000 credits = $1). Subscribing = spending credits to lock in a month of "monthly quota". You can spend credits to chat with Mochi without ever subscribing, but a subscription switches on the monthly compute optimizations plus the session (5-hour) and weekly (7-day) window guardrails for a smoother ride. The 40% / 44% launch deal applies to the subscription price, not the credit exchange rate.
Just top up the difference in credits, then choose the higher monthly plan on the subscribe screen. Your credit balance carries over, and the session (5-hour) and weekly (7-day) window caps lift to the $100/month plan tier automatically.
For now it's one account per computer (tied to that computer). If siblings each want their own creations, it's best to put them on separate computers. Reinstalling the app on the same machine still counts as the same account.
Usually not. The account is tied to your computer, recognized by the computer's own characteristics. Just reinstalling Windows usually still recognizes the same account. But if you swap hardware and reinstall at the same time, a new account may be created — just contact support and we'll migrate it for you by hand.
Topped-up credits aren't refundable. The trial is free, so there's nothing to refund there.
In the app, the 🪙 badge in the chat header shows "remaining / total this month" in real time. Hover over it to see the remaining USD value plus your plan's expiry date. A dedicated parent panel for "top-up history + monthly spend" is coming in a future version; for now, you can check our top-up records page for detailed transactions.
